Scratch Track was inspired by memories of a 30km bush walk I took with friends across the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. The painting is pure abstract with a landscape structure. It includes scratches that represent the tracks, areas of blue sky and a pink band that represents the life of the forest. It included some areas where we were walking in the undergrowth with tall trees towering above us. It gave me a sense of open spaciousness and yet the forest enveloped us. When we emerged, we were once again at the waters edge.

Mounted in a white mat board mount measuring 12 x 10.5” or 31.2 x 27cm.
