Headland was inspired by the natural surroundings where I live, the Mornington Peninsula. The colours are early morning colours and include deep classic blue, pink and an australian yellow green. The painting is purely abstract with a landscape structure. You can see the headland as the dark blue horizontal wedge across the top 1/3 of the painting.
It was a joy to paint this painting and its sister paintings. The freedom and space that I love to paint can be felt in the marks, the colours and the composition of the painting.
Headland styled here in a white frame, but is sold unframed with a mat board only. Framing can be organised for you, please contact me for a quote and to discuss your requirements.
