The Friday Files - by The Callen Collective

This week's blog features the new work by Narelle Callen for the PST 2022 Exhibition which opens Friday 23rd September.

Sea blue. Mist. Landforms. Harbours. Water. Wharves, jetties and piers.

This week for the Friday Files, I thought I’d give you a little sneak peek into the work that I’ve prepared for the upcoming PST 2022 Exhibition.

Yes, all those misty brush strokes, blues, pinks and earth colours, landforms, water, wharves and harbours feature quite significantly in the theme of my work for this year’s art show. You can dip your toes into the waters, feel the gentle movement of mist on your skin. Let the deep blue of the harbour, the light in the sky and the pink of the clouds envelope all of your senses.

I painted these works, attempting to bring you light and a deep blue of the ocean. Peace, tranquillity, a little joy and something to think about and imagine yourself being part of. I bring you Blue Seas.

If you live on or near the Mornington Peninsula, please come along to the

PST 2022 Exhibition.

Opening Night is Friday 23rd September from 6:30 – 8:30, no need to book. Please bring a friend, enjoy a drink and some food with us. Everyone is welcome.

The exhibition continues until 2nd October. 10 am – 5 pm.

Venue: The Studio, 91 Wilson’s Road, Mornington, Victoria, 3931

Here are a few images of the works from my Blue Seas Collection, that will feature in the exhibition. I've hung them in rooms so you can get a feel for the scale.
